.. Am sure there are no illusions out there. Just yesterday one witnessed shameless assertions by Sharad Pawar and his family about their having to do nothing with IPL bidding undertaken by the MD of City Corp. They have 16.22 percent of shares. They say that the bid was made by the MD in his personal capacity. It is both illegal and improper. The Parliament has been misled. If the bid was won, what would have been the response?? Sharad has the audacity to say that if he was interested in the bidding it would not have been allowed to fail. Shows he would have ensured the win by hook or crook..
. Except some heated debate on the visual media, there are no other protests no dharnas no concerns from the public. Coming back to my old point why blame them, if the people continue to tolerate this nonsense. If Tharoor was shown the door, why not Pawar?

National Carrier national shame!
.. From the grand old days of Maharaja, Air India has fallen from grace thanks to the people at the helm. It is being run as some personal property. Thanks to successive CMDs mostly from the IAS cadre, they have allowed rot to set in. The previous CMD Mr Tulsi Das is apparently running a private enterprise to provide expat pilots and minting money in the process. All this while hundreds of our own desi pilots are waiting in the wings. What else do you expect babus to do except mis managing and also making money.
Why on earth do we think that an IAS can do anything and run anything. There are enough and more qualified and experienced people from the concerned field who would understand the nuances of running a specialised industry that has to compete with the best from the private industry. It takes years to understand the job, and here an IAS Babu lands up from Food or Agriculture ministry or coal ministry and suddenly is running an airline industry which requires expertise and imagination ... and then you have the Government pumping in money to bail out an inefficient national carrier thanks to successive Babus making a mess of it all.
Praful Patel is all noise and no deeds. When there was an upswing a couple of years ago, he seemed to be taking all the credit for the upward sloping graphs.... Today, he says it is for the AI to manage their own affairs while they are in the red. The merger of the AI and IA, creation of some cocktail called Air India Express and some other half baked solutions have all back fired. NACIL is in the red and the bosses are red faced but continue to treat a national carrier as their private property.
Let us get the best man for the job from the specific industry . It requires professional skills, understanding and commitment. The two year stint that an IAS officer does today is just adequate to understand the specialist requirements. How many Heads from the Administrative service have rolled for inefficiency? When it comes to passing the blame, it is passed downstream.
At the top level, the now a standard gimmick of offering to resign (ala Praful Patil, ala Chidambaram ) instead of actual resigning shows where the true intentions lie. Such action by politicians and ministers are revolting to say the least. Remember how all the DMK members gave their resignation letters to MK. Tamasha chal raha hai idar.

India doomed !

Shocking news. How can this be allowed? The politicians who support the change of demography are traitors and we the people who allow such utter nonsense to go on are equally blameworthy. India was divided on the basis of religion and this twenty million Bangladeshi muslims would ensure that there are further divisions based on demographic changes. Pointless saying God save our country, time to say wake up you sleeping Indians and save Bharat.
Every party is apparently guilty of allowing Bangladeshis to settle in the borders in our NE states and other parts of India driven by vote bank policies. We remain silent spectators and remain immune to the divisive anti national policies of successive Governments. This spirit of tolerance to heaps of abuse from countries on either flanks won't help us get anywhere. We are doomed if these acts are allowed to go on.

Sikh beheading
Was this issue taken up during the Indo Pak dialogue on 24th?? While it is true that nothing was expected of the talks with our good neighbour in denial mode, I am not too sure if India was concerned about the human rights abuse across the border in respect of minorities. Not much has been done to prevent the atrocities against Hindus, Sikhs who are discriminated and forced to convert . Even when they are allowed to remain in their own religious fold, they are to pay Jazia a protection tax.
The world seems to think it is an internal issue or just some thing to be sorted out by the Talliban and the Pak rulers? There are serious and fundamental issues here rooted in how minorities are being treated in our neighbourhood. Why are the human rights activists keeping mum on the ways of how minorities are treated in Islamic countries? The same lot who migrate to western countries enjoy all the rights of a free world .Even there, they try to impose their own laws even in the chosen land of domicile. The case of banning of Burkas, refusal to carry passengers who carried liquor, imposing the Sharia as convenient and resorting to local laws when inconvenient etc., etc.,Every one seems to think that the moderate educated Muslims perhaps hold the key to civilised treatment. But if the treatment meted out to Kfirs(Idolators and other non believers)as described by Islam has the sanction of the Koran, then there are very serious concerns.
Why is every one sooooooooooo scared of even discussing these issues at such bilateral or multilateral meetings???
